Limoncello - Special box designed by Giugiaro Architettura

Antica Distilleria Petrone and Giugiaro Architettura meet to create an unprecedented combination of traditional liqueur and Italian style.

The aim of the collaboration was to create a box containing one of Petrone's spirits specialties combined with a design object by Giugiaro Architettura.

The studio has created a style research that takes inspiration from the Campania tradition and the dynamism and innovation of the automotive industry. The tasting glass designed exclusively by the designer is an extraordinary union between modernity, sensations and territory.

The packaging, which contains the exclusive Petrone spirits and the two tasting glasses, is characterized by a background texture that represents a lava flow turned into stone. The lava stone, symbol of the fertile Campania land, becomes the identity of Petrone products, representing the essential link with the territory.

Tasting Notes

Intense yellow in color. Lively hints of lemon peel and herbaceous tones on the nose. Sweet, fresh and markedly aromatic on the palate with an exuberant finish determined by the enveloping alcoholic note that becomes even more evident when the limoncello is served cold.

Our advice

Excellent after-dinner digestive, perfect neat or on the rocks; it should be served preferably chilled. Its freshness and aromas give the bartender and mixologist incredible pairing possibilities. Excellent if mixed with Eulizia liqueur, lemon juice and ginger beer, for a cocktail to be savored slowly, until the last aromatic note.
